How to shop online
Ordering from Serpentine Mineralis is easy! The SERPENTINE MINERALIS SHOP is part of Yahoo Shopping and features secure 128-bit encryption. When you see an item you want, simply click on the "Add to Bag" button. Your shopping bag will be displayed with all of the items in it. Whenever you are ready to finalize your order, you may proceed to checkout. It only takes a minute and is completely secure!

Once you're done shopping, checking out is a cinch. You may always view the items you have added to your cart by clicking "view cart" button at the top of the left navigation bar, or at the bottom right of each page.

Once you are viewing the contents of your cart, you may adjust quantities in your cart by changing the number to the left of items, and then by clicking "recalculate" after all quantity adjustments have been made.

Once you are ready to checkout with the items in your shopping cart, click on the “checkout” button in your shopping cart.

When you finish checking out, we instantly receive your order. You will receive an email confirmation with the complete order information.

Item availability
Though we try our best to keep our online boutique updated, at times certain designs will be unexpectedly popular and hence be back-ordered or delayed in their shipment. If any items you ordered will be delayed, we will notify you via e-mail. Please look over your order to make sure all the information is correct and contact us within 24 hours if any changes need to be made.

As every design is individually hand made when it is ordered, the standard processing time of each piece of jewelry is noted in its product description page. Your credit card will be authorized, but not charged, until we are actually preparing your order for shipment (1-3 business days prior to shipment). Once your jewelry order is complete, we will send a shipment confirmation email with a tracking number to track your package online.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you wish to cancel your order, you may do so up to 24 hours after your order has been placed, provided that we have not begun processing your order. As most jewelry is handmade to order, we ask that customers not cancel once we are working on your order.

How can I track my order?
You will receive an order confirmation once your order has been successfully transmitted. In addition, a shipping confirmation e-mail will be sent once your order has been shipped. Guidelines
Orders placed Monday-Friday before 5 PM ET will begin processing that day, excluding holidays, and usually ship within 3-4 business days pending availability and credit verification. All orders placed after 5 PM ET will begin processing the next business day. Orders placed on Friday after 5 PM ET will begin processing on the following Monday. SerpentineJewelry.com will contact you with a follow-up email if the merchandise you have selected is not currently in stock or if we need additional identification provided for credit verification.

We ship all our orders via United Parcel Service (UPS). All packages are insured. Transit time ranges from 2-5 business days*. If you would like your shipment to be expedited, you can choose from 2-Day Air or Next Day Air shipping. Please note that expedited shipping only shortens the time in transit, but we will need 3-4 business days to process your order.

Currently, SerpentineJewelry.com ships strictly to the contiguous 48 U.S. states. Shipments to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Alaska are by special arrangement only. Shipments to P.O. boxes, AFO/FPO, and international destinations are unavailable at this time.

Domestic Shipping Costs and Methods

We ship all our orders via United Parcel Service (UPS). Our online store is set up to provide real-time UPS shipping charges specific to your destination and your preferred shipping method. During checkout, after you have entered your shipping information and selected your shipping method, you will be provided with a table that shows you the exact shipping costs for all of the UPS shipping methods that we offer. All shipments are fully insured. Any order over $500 will require a signature confirmation for delivery.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Currently, Serpentine Mineralis ships strictly to the contiguous 48 U.S. states, plus Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Shipments to P.O. boxes, AFO/FPO, and international destinations are unavailable at this time.

In order to make purchases at SerpentineJewelry.com, you must have both a shipping address and credit card billing address within the United States. In addition, the issuing bank must be based in the United States.

What gift wrap/box services do you offer?
SerpentineJewelry.com will gift box your order providing you select this option at the time of purchase. Our gift box service includes a matte finished black structured gift box with our insignia and the item(s) wrapped in tissue inside the box. You are asked at checkout to include a gift message if you desire. This message is printed on a gift card, and included with the gift box. The recipient will receive a blank invoice with the return/exchange form.

How do I purchase a gift certificate?
Gift certificates are available for purchase
online. We offer gift certificates in the predetermined dollar amounts featured on our site. You may add this item to your cart and proceed to checkout for purchase. Gift certificates are delivered using USPS, with no shipping charges. You may choose to have your gift certificate shipped using another shipping method at an additional cost. How do I redeem my gift certificate?
At the checkout screen you will be able to enter your gift certificate number in the field “Coupon Code/Promotional Code”. This will deduct the full amount of the gift certificate from your order total. If your gift certificate is more than the total purchase, the total purchase amount will be deducted from your gift certificate, and you will be able to use the remaining amount for future purchases.

What is your return policy?
Returns are accepted FOR MERCHANDISE CREDIT ONLY within 14 days of receipt for items that HAVE NOT BEEN WORN or ALTERED, and with ALL packaging intact. Please complete the return/exchange portion of your invoice and include it with your package. PLEASE NOTE: Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

SerpentineJewelry.com does not assume return shipping costs. Packages that arrive COD may be denied, or the COD amount will be deducted from your return or added to your exchange order. Please insure your package, as we will not assume responsibility in the event that the return package is lost during transit or delivery.

How do I make a return or exchange?
Simply follow the instructions on the invoice included with your package. Securely pack and seal the return merchandise and invoice in an appropriate shipping box or envelope, and send back to us using an insured service to the above address. (This will provide you with recourse on your package, as we cannot accept responsibility for packages that we do not ship ourselves).

How do I care for my jewelry?
It is natural for all metals to oxidize with exposure to air. To ensure that your jewelry stays bright for a longer time, please keep it in an air-tight bag. If your jewelry tarnishes, you can restore its shine by polishing with a polishing cloth. Please DO NOT use solvents, harsh chemicals, or sonicators. We recommend Connoisseur's Polishing Cloths for silver or gold. Most polishing cloths come with an inner microabrasive-treated cloth and an outer gentle buffing cloth. NOTE: Polishing with the cloth WILL remove the oxidized finish that we use on some of our designs. We do not recommend using the cloth on our blackened silver pieces.

Gold vermeil is delicate. If you must polish any gold vermeil, please use only the outer, non-abrasive cloth to polish gold vermeil. Otherwise, use an old t-shirt or soft towel.

Whenever possible, store your jewelry with gems in a dark place. Certain gems are known to undergo natural slight bleaching over time with exposure to light.

The general rule of thumb for putting on jewelry is to always put it on absolutely last. Direct exposure to hair-styling products and the alcohol in perfume will often damage not only the metal, but the gems as well. By putting on your jewelry last when you get dressed also ensures that you will not damage or lose any jewelry on your favorite sweater, not to mention keep your favorite sweater from getting pulled or snagged!
